Simple coconut custard pie unusual Thanksgiving favorite

Simple coconut pie can be made by the kids!

This easy time- saver pie has been known by other names. Impossible pie comes to mind. It is a marvel of kitchen wizardry that is easy and really delicious.  You mix all of the ingredients in the blender and pour into the pie plate! It creates a thin bottom “crust “as the ingredients settle. The remainder of the mixture  rises  and forms a creamy custard filling.

After they are tired of the same old pumpkin offering, surprise them with this homey rich and simple delight! It might become a favorite in your household too.

Simply  perfect coconut custard pie 

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 c.butter, melted in micro and coolled completly
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • optional pinch og salt
  •  1 large greased 10″ pyrex pie plate, glass only

Blend: all in blender

Pour: into pie plate

Bake: 1 hour  in preheated  350 degree oven or until set, the top will brown and the bottom will form a slight crust.
